Overview

FAVRIGHT is a leather-goods concept centred on handcrafted bags and accessories made in Lagos.

The project grew beyond a single landing page into a broader e-commerce experience, including the homepage, category-led discovery and dedicated product experiences for products such as female bags, wallets, keyboard bags, laptop/work bags and tote bags.

The central challenge was to make the craftsmanship feel tangible online while keeping the ordering experience practical.

The brief

Create a premium digital experience that can:

  • Establish FAVRIGHT as a handcrafted leather brand.
  • Communicate quality and craftsmanship.
  • Organise several product categories clearly.
  • Give individual products enough storytelling space.
  • Explain materials and product features.
  • Support product selection.
  • Provide a straightforward order pathway.
  • Maintain a consistent visual system across different products.

Our approach

We treated FAVRIGHT as an editorial commerce brand.

The homepage establishes the brand story and the product universe. Category experiences then narrow the collection, while individual product pages move deeper into:

Material → Features → Use case → Options → Price → Order

This structure allows the brand to feel premium without making the shopping process unnecessarily abstract.

Homepage

The opening proposition

The headline “Leather that speaks before you do.” positions the product around personality and craftsmanship rather than simply listing what is available.

Visual category discovery

Tote bags, laptop bags, keyboard bags, wallets and female bags are treated as visual collections.

This creates an experience closer to discovering a catalogue than scanning an inventory table.

Craftsmanship section

The “Made locally. Built to outlast everything else.” section moves the visitor from aesthetics into material and construction.

This is important because handcrafted products need a story about how they are made, not just what they look like.

Product experiences

Female bags

The female-bags experience focuses on silhouettes, lifestyle imagery, available finishes and product selection.

The page is designed to move naturally from inspiration to choice.

Wallet

The wallet page balances close-up product imagery with practical information about form factors, card organisation and material characteristics.

Keyboard bag

The keyboard-bag page is more utility-driven. It introduces fit, interior protection, cable storage and compatibility considerations so the customer understands why the product exists.

Work / laptop bag

This experience uses product specifications and use-case photography to make the product relevant to working professionals.

Tote bag

The tote experience leans more heavily into everyday carry, construction and lifestyle use.

Ordering experience

One of the defining UX decisions is the order form.

Rather than forcing the project into a conventional automated-cart model, the ordering interaction collects the information needed for a direct order:

  • Product/style
  • Size or option
  • Customer name
  • Phone / WhatsApp
  • Delivery address
  • State
  • Optional order note

This creates a more personalised purchase flow while keeping product selection structured.

Design decisions

Dark visual system

The dark foundation makes leather textures and product photography feel richer and more tactile.

Restrained gold/tan accent

The accent colour creates a material association with leather while also helping important actions stand out.

Editorial serif headlines

Large serif headlines create a premium, crafted and slightly heritage-oriented character.

Consistent product framework

Individual products have different selling points, but their pages follow a recognisable structure so visitors do not have to learn a new interface every time.

Why we designed it this way

FAVRIGHT is not only selling bags.

It is selling:

craftsmanship + identity + utility

The website therefore needs to make the customer feel the material, understand the difference and see where the product fits into everyday life.

What this project demonstrates

FAVRIGHT demonstrates Fortsrex’s ability to work across a fuller e-commerce system:

Brand storytelling → collection discovery → product education → product selection → order

It also demonstrates how one design system can extend across multiple product types while still allowing each product to tell its own story.

Outcome

This was an independent project created for a friend. No fabricated sales or conversion outcomes are attached to the work.

Where appropriate, future portfolio updates can add verified results supplied by the business.
