A note on this project

This one is our own design idea rather than client work. We created it to show how we would approach this kind of business. It was not commissioned by anyone, and we are not claiming any results from it.

Overview

Vanta is a fashion e-commerce concept built around the tension between editorial storytelling and straightforward shopping.

The goal was to create a digital storefront that feels like a fashion publication without sacrificing the usability expected from a modern e-commerce experience.

The brief

Design an e-commerce experience that can:

  • Establish a distinctive fashion identity.
  • Lead with campaign imagery and strong art direction.
  • Support collection discovery.
  • Present new arrivals and best sellers.
  • Make product information easy to scan.
  • Support product selection and purchase.
  • Translate well to mobile.

Our approach

The journey is structured as:

Brand → Collection → Product → Editorial → Purchase

Instead of opening immediately with a dense product catalogue, the experience establishes the visual language first and gradually moves the visitor toward commerce.

Design decisions

Monochromatic system

Black, white and neutral tones allow the clothing and campaign imagery to provide most of the visual movement.

Large editorial hero

The opening statement, “Less noise. More presence.”, establishes the brand’s attitude before the visitor reaches the catalogue.

Image-led category discovery

Collections are represented through large photographic tiles so browsing feels visual and intuitive.

Product-first shopping grid

New arrivals and best sellers are presented in a clean, scannable grid that supports quick product comparison.

Editorial campaign break

The “New Uniform” section deliberately breaks the standard product-grid rhythm, giving the brand room to behave like a fashion publication.

Light and dark pacing

Alternating section treatments create rhythm across the page and help prevent a long e-commerce experience from feeling visually repetitive.

Why we designed it this way

Fashion commerce has to protect two things at once:

Desirability of the brand.

Ease of buying the product.

Vanta was designed around that balance.

What this project demonstrates

The project demonstrates Fortsrex’s ability to combine brand expression, art direction, e-commerce UX and product merchandising.

Outcome

Vanta is a self-initiated concept. There are no real sales, conversion or revenue figures attached to the design.
